Next meeting of the Belgian EBCP mirror group on the 19 December 2025

The plenary meeting of the Belgian EBCP Mirror Group will take place online on 19 December, from 13:00 to 14:30.

The meeting will bring together members of the mirror group and stakeholders from across the Belgian cancer field. It will be an opportunity to share updates on ongoing activities, discuss recent developments, and look ahead to future priorities. During this session, we will provide an update on the Mirror Group activities, followed by a foresight workshop exploring how Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Generative AI (GenAI) can improve the management of knowledge and evidence from the European Beating Cancer Plan (EBCP).

Foresight workshop: AI for knowledge management in cancer care and research

The European Beating Cancer Plan generates a growing amount of evidence through its ten flagship initiatives and the many EU-funded projects supporting them. Making this evidence easy to find, use, and re-use is becoming increasingly important for patients, clinicians, researchers, and policymakers.

This workshop will explore how emerging technologies — in particular AI and GenAI — could help organise and manage this knowledge in the future. Participants will discuss possible scenarios, exchange views on what stakeholders may need over the coming years, and contribute ideas to ensure that EBCP-generated evidence remains accessible and impactful for all Member States.
